If something appears to interfere with voting, focus on what you directly observed: what happened, when, where, who was involved, and any identifying details that can be recorded safely and lawfully.
- Immediate violence or threats: call 911 first.
- Voting access, intimidation, or civil-rights concerns: contact the local election office, Election Protection, and/or DOJ Civil Rights.
- Suspected election crime: report it to the FBI.
- If law-enforcement or immigration-enforcement activity near a voting location appears to intimidate or interfere with voting, document the conduct and report the facts. The presence of an agency by itself is not proof of election misconduct.
